    Dear Visti,
After listening to Chandra lagna class, I went back and heard about Janma Nakshatra again.

Worship of Janma Nakshatra when Moon is transiting it and Sun is also in its natal rasi, is recommended for smooth year ahead.

For Aslesha nakshatra, serp deity should not be worshipped in brhma muhurta, so then the alternative dictum of worshipping devta of Mercury ie Vishnu gayatri should be done?

VRA gives the serp deity mantra as well, is it recommended to be done after sun set?

By chance I note that I will have the natal sun, moon and janma nakshtra transit on friday.

    Will appreciate your insight.

    Sincerely,
    Sharat

    Dear Sharat, Namaskar
The advise is to advise Budhadeva with the Rgveda mantra advised by Parasara.
    The mantra is copied here:
udbudhyasvāgne prati jāgṛhi tvāmiṣṭāpūteṁ saṁ sṛjethāmayaṅca|
    asmin sadhasthe-adhyuttarasmin viśvedevā yajamānaśra sīdata||

I would advise looking up the same in the Rgveda (10.101.1) and adding the viniyoga of rishi, chandah and devata to your worship.

Hope you have a nice nakshatra-birthday
    Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen

    Dear Sharat, Namaskar
I picked the mantra and reference from VRA. I checked the same myself and can confirm that the reference does give a different mantra. I’m at a different computer right now, but will search for the correct mantra when i get home. Stick to the one given in VRA for now.
    Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen.

    Dear Visti,
    Namaskar
Thanks. Mantra from VRA checks out accurately, but the source mentioned from Rig veda doesnt.

    Sincerely,
    Sharat

    Dear Visti,

In your book you mention Eka nakshatra dosa about relatives having same nkashatra and gives examples of siblings and mother and child. What about husband and wife. i have same Nakshatra as my wife though different pada. is there a significance

    Hare Rama Krsna

    हरे राम कृष्ण॥
    Dear Kamal, Namaskar
The reason I didn’t mention the Eka Nakshatra dosha between husband and wife is that the dosha doesn’t really come into effect until one of the parties has left the other. And here the younger one with the dosha suffers.
So between husband and wife, if the wife is younger then the dosha can arise after the husband passes away or there is divorce.
    Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen.
  8. Raghava Says:

sir, Thank you very much for your lessons on the divine subject.
sir,in jaimini sutras it is said that when the lord of sree lagna is exalted in rasi chart will make the person very wealthy. In the matters of wealth he has also mentioned that even a debilitated planet in 11th from arudha lagna give a lot of wealth. Can this above principle also be applied for sree lagna. That is, when the lord of sree lagna is debilitated, will that planet also give wealth.
and should we also see the navamsa chart or just the rasi chart in this case.please pardon me.
    Thank you,
    Yours sincerely,
    Raghava

    Dear Guru Visti Larsen, Namaskar
I am interested in the star Canopus. I read in a paper that it receives the name of Rishi Agastya, too. Please, could you indicate the nakshatra related to Canopus, its effect and importance comparing to other stars?

    Thank you very much

    Leoncio

    हरे राम कृष्ण॥
    Dear Members, Namaskar

    Raghava
Nice logic. But, we find that its when the lord of Sri Lagna receives cancellation of its debilitation (nica bhanga) then this Sri realy manifests.
See the chart of Bill Clinton

    Clinton, Bill
    Natal Chart
    Date: August 19, 1946
    Time: 3:44:00 am
Time Zone: 6:00:00 (West of GMT)
    Place: 93 W 36′ 00″, 33 N 40′ 00″

Sri Lagna is in Taurus and its lord is debilitated in the third house. It receives full nica-bhanga from Jupiter and Mercury in Kendra to lagna and moon, and when Jupiter-Jupiter mahadasa-antaradasa started he entered the white house.

There are other factors which ensured that this Sri arouse through political association.

    Leoncio
Through a quick search i found that Canopus is at the degree of 20 degrees Gemini. That means its in the first pada of Punarvasu nakshatra.

    Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen
