Hello,

I am new to astrology, but I know the concepts. I am fascinated by D60, but how can it be accurate, considering even 5 seconds could change the lagna? This is because in one of the D60 charts, I've come across four planets (Ju, Ma, Mo, Ve) in respective signs, with north and south node exalted as well. This is quite extraordinary, so I'd like some input on this from experts.

Dear Visti Guruji

Thank you so much for all your time and replies! Though you make me feel like an ant in front of a lion as far as astrology is concerned - so much to learn! I am now studying the lecture on examples of chart analysis.

As for the above chart - I think the time is quite accurate. The native's mother died violently when the person was just 6 years old (1978), and the brother also in 1993 - thus the affliction to moon and Mars - before I overlooked this and was focusing more on the relationships with partner - but now I realise the death of mother must have been very significant in the person's life.

हरे राम कृष्ण॥
Dear Ila devi dasi and Rafal, Namaskar
I was taught that Badhaka can show up as a problem when seeing the relationships between planets, but primarily the lessons have been reg. Marana-Karaka Sthana relationships and Pachakadi Sambandha (Serbia 2005).

Now for the chart.
I think you are using True-node calculations for the chart as I get Rahu placed in Sagittarius with Jupiter. To clarify True-nodes are correct for timing eclipses, but mean nodes are really for the purpose of natal jyotish analysis where the premise is that the nodes should always be retrograde and the luminaries should always be direct. Yes Rahu has dristi on the 5th, 9th and also 2nd house. Reference is a hindu edition of BPHS.

As a result the only curse I see is that of the Moon by Saturn and Mars. With Mars atmakaraka in the seventh house I would strongly suspect problems arising in having permanent relationships, do clarify.
My reasons for stating this are:
i. Venus is having a bad pachakadi sambandha with mars.
ii. Sun is the seventh lord and Mars is placed in MKS from him.
iii. Darakaraka is Moon which is placed in the MKS from Mars.

Also due to Saturn placed in the fourth house, as a benefic is in lagna, it shows kapata yoga and the person will be cheated and disappointed in life. The main issue being the inability of the native to attain their desires in life, as Saturn is the lord of the Moon sign. This person can at times be very despicable in their behavior towards others as a result as the Moon shows how we treat the world around us. A good remedy is to wear a Crystal mala which is kept in water over night. Otherwise normally this person treats others very well due to the position of the Moon in Libra navamsa.

The analysis of the Arudha lagna is fine, but Venus is not in Virgo in the chart you have presented.

So lets see the Moon, Saturn and Mars in D60.
In the D60 Moon is in the twelfth house showing that loss came to that person, and the affliction of Mars and Rahu on the Moon really surmounts to a terrible anger and shock which is inherited in the curse in this life.
Saturn is in the eighth from arudha lagna showing that the main motivation to commit the 'crime' was financial pressure seen by malefics along the second and eighth axis. Venus joined the same and the planets being in Libra do point towards the REASON for the financial pressure - spending money on the opposite sex.

But this is all provided that the D60 is accurate and with a time like 4 pm and a D60 lagna which changes within 34 seconds I would have trouble accepting this D60 without rectification.

Now, Mars is the Atmakaraka and is the REAL cause of rebirth. See its lordship and placement in the D60 to see this problem. Mars lords the second and ninth from Arudha lagna showing that anger directed towards family (second house) and father/guru (ninth house) has been the main cause of his rebirth with Rahu atmakaraka.

Do advise this person to worship Sri Lakshmi as his Ishta Devata.
I hope this helps.
Yours sincerely, Visti.

Dear Gurudev,

Beautiful answer to Ila.

Guruji, You used Pachakadhi while seeing this relation, now my question comes : if the lord afflicted is in the seventh from karaka in dual rasi is this also bad (as its comes to the position to form badhak).

Regards

Dear Jyotish Guruji

I apologise for writing again, but I am trying to get things more accurate. Please tell me if the below analysis is better…

Chart:

20 September 1972
Pretoria 28E10
25S45
-02:00 (2 hours east of Greenwich)
South Africa
16:00 (4pm)

Venus in 6th house badly aspected by Rahu and Saturn
Mercury in 8th house conjunct sun aspected by Saturn and Rahu (or does Rahu also have no dristhi?)
Mars in 7th aspected by Rahu and Saturn also.
Jupiter conjunct Rahu aspected by Saturn

Jupiter is in Mooltrikona, in 11th house, so gains some goodness.

Mercury and Mars are combust, Venus in 6th, so these are most affected. Saturn however is in 11th, 10th and 9th position from these planets, so nothing too bad is indicated by that?
Saturn is 6th from Jupiter though, in 4th house, showing unhappy family situation.

Then Mars is in the Arudha Lagna, showing unhappiness from brother, and Venus is 12th from Arudha Lagna, showing unhappiness from spouse.

In Shastiamsa Venus is hemmed in between Saturn and Rahu in 6th house – so in past life the person harmed his partner? These planets in 6th house and in 8th from Arudha Lagna – could it show the person killed his partner in past life or cursed his partner?

As Saturn is Lord of the 9th and 10th houses, the person felt justified in his actions.

Mars in 3rd house for brother in Shastiamsa is aspected by Saturn and sun. Some sorrow caused to brother? I am not sure what.

You mentioned in your lecture there is a way to see a person’s sex in past life, could you explain that?

Thank you for your most valuable time.

हरे राम कृष्ण॥
Dear Ila devi dasi, Namaskar
You have made a nice writeup with some good questions.
I have the following points and comments to make:

o As per the tradition Ketu does not have the ability/sight to cause graha dristi. As a result Jupiter is giving lack of peace but there is no curse.

o Ok, problems with mother. Now, lets see the rasi chart FIRST and identify the root of the problem. In the rasi chart only Mercury finds himself under the affliction of two or more malefics, namely Sun, Saturn and Rahu. There is thus a curse of uncle from past life. Among the malefics Saturn is the worst, and his lordship will show us where the sorrow is coming from. Saturn lords the fourth house and shows sorrow coming from mother, childhood, home, primary education, etc.

Now, since Saturn is the culprit we should analyze his position from the karakas of the fourth to ascertain the real problem area.

Karaka analysis
o Moon (mother and childhood); has Saturn placed in the twelfth from him which is very inauspicious as per the Pachakadi Sambandha. This shows that alot of enmity or sorrow can come from mother.
o Mars (grha/property); has Saturn placed in the third from him, which isn't bad but isn't very good either, pointing towards property disputes arising from Saturn.
o Jupiter (sukha/happiness); has Saturn placed in the sixth from him which is far from a good placement showing a native whose sense of happiness and sense of family is lacking.
o Mercury (vidya/education); has Saturn placed in the eleventh from him, but being in itself afflicted will point towards some strife in primary education, but this won't be the main issue as the position between them is amicable.
Venus (vahana/vehicles and comforts); has Saturn placed in the tenth from him - thus Saturn won't cause problems with her vehicles and comforts in life.

The next step is seeing these karakas from arudha lagna, as all work with karakas is related to the mind and thus also the arudhas.
Here in this case Moon is placed in the seventh from arudha lagna showing open opposition from mother towards the native. When the arudha lagna falls in capricorn, or when Moon falls in the seventh from arudha lagna expect that the natives mother will be highly critical towards the native. Similarly Leo or Sun in the seventh from arudha lagna will give the problems from father.
This will come from the inlaws when reckoned from upapada.

o So, sorrow from mother due to the curse of uncle. That means that some karma was done to the uncle and this has resulted in the current sorrow. Just like Vishnu attaining the curse of the Devarishi Narada due to which he had to suffer in his marriage to Sita. It so happened that Vishnu ensured that Narada did not get married, so also Vishnu had to see his spouse taken away from him in his next life.

Now, only after performing the above should we step into the D60 and see the exact type of karma performed. Of course it can be inferred that there must have been done some karma to the uncles relationship with someone that has caused this.

Now see in the D60 that Mercury is in the third from arudha lagna. This means that the uncle suffered due to strife (third house is ones action against the enemy). Saturn, Sun and Rahu will show the karma the native did. Saturn shows the sorrow and is placed in the sixth from arudha lagna showing that the native took or stole something and this was done out of jealousy.

This is in the fourth from Mercury and shows that this action will cause sorrow to the uncle specifically in matters pertaining to mother or home.
Apparently the native did this in an attempt to protect him/herself from being hurt in the past life. This would have happened in the narayana dasa of kumbha in the past life between 47-51 years of age. Also the native thought this was the right thing to do to ensure good fortune as Saturn is the ninth lord.

Further as Mercury is also afflicted by Saturn and Mars in the D60 chart, it confirms that the native has specifically taken this karma on them in this life.

I hope this helps.
Yours sincerely, Visti.

Dear Astrology Acharya

Linked to my previous email I have a question about the leture on Pre-Natal abode.

I am looking at a chart where the planet Jupiter is quite badly aspected in Shastiyamsa - it is conjunct with Rahu in the 3rd house, and strongly aspected from Ketu in the 9th house. Jup is retrograde also, in 5th house from Arudha Lagna (which falls in 11th house, Gemini).
The moon in this chart is alone in 2nd house, and I cannot see any bad aspect on it. So it seems the person in her past life must have done soemthing to her/his children, right? What could they have done?

The thing is the native claims that she is having severe problems with ther mother in this life - that her mother is always domineering, opposing and diapproving of everything she does. She feels her mother is an enemy.

So can it be concluded that because this person maltreated her children in a past life, she too is now being maltreated by her mother? So the disturbed relationship with mother is actually seen from Jupiter and not from moon in Shastiyamsa?

In rasi chart the Lord of the 4th house is Saturn and is in 8th bhava, which may indicate this distubed relationship with mother, although once again the moon seems to be well-situated in 9th house, in own house.

Timezone: -02:00 (2 hours east of Greenwich, in South Africa)

Please tell me if above observations are correct....

Thank you very much!
