Respected Visti ji
Regarding the Sunapha, Anapha and Durudhara yogas.
1. what is the implications of having planets joining the moon instead of being in the 2nd and 12th. i know that they will have a bad tatkaleen sambhandha with the moon.
2. what is the impact of Navamsa, In rasi there is nothing but Navamsa has planets?

Dear Tarun
Namaskar,
If I may answer here:
Planets joining the Moon increases your own minds desire and reflects your own ‘taking’and ‘ receiving’ ability. Your own tide or ‘gravitational pull’ increases depending upon the strength of the Moon( full or new Moon).
Thus if there are no planets in 2/12 from Moon but there are planets joining the Moon, except the Sun, you have an inner desire for earning/receiving wealth/money, hence it also cancels the Kemadruma yoga. The effect will be felt indicated by the yogas if any involving these planets.
This is seen in rasi and not in navamsa.
Hope this helps.

Sharat

Dear Sharat
Thanks for that clarfication. Clear as crystal cause Saravali does not mention anything on that. it only catagorizes in 3 sunapha, anapha, durudhara or go to hell…

Dear Tarun and Sharat,
What is joined your Moon shows what is on your mind… and thus also what you give to the world. If Mars is joined the Moon the native will not listen to you and will have anger on their mind… this becomes obvious when you spark the fire.
Similarly Saturn joined the Moon shows that sorrow or negative thoughts occupy the mind, and so also the person is prone to show this towards others when triggered. Still whilst this can affect how people feel about you, the real image is seen from the Arudha lagna.
Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen

Dear Vistiji,Tarun,Sharat ,

2> from moon in 10th sun and shani (in Thula)
d\if we refer some author it is KDY but if go by S RATH and brihat jatak by PS Shastri its not
pls correct whats true ?
March 10th, 2007 at 7:40 pm

if we refer some local author they simply say its KDY but as per jhora and other authoer its cancelled KDY .
i went to anurag sharma article it mentiones if any planet in kendra form lagna than its not .
March 11th, 2007 at 1:45 am
Dear Visti,
Kemadruma Yoga seems to be an issue here, ‘asking for your comment.
Does Moon’s dosha, Kemadruma yoga gets cancelled if
1/Sun, mercury and/or other planet is placed in 7th from Moon?
2/If Guru is angular from lagna?
Thanks,
Anna

Dear All,
I have gontthrough Page 117 of brihat Jatak by Prof . PS Sastri in that in 3rd shloka mentioned however if any planet other than sun and moon in kendra from lagna , it says kemdrumo neshyate|| kemdruma is not caused.
I think this backs any beific in kendra removes evils:
antidotes for evils: like jupiter in kendra removes all dosha ???
waiting comment from All learned members.
Thanks.

HARE RAMAKRISHNA
Dear Astroyogi
I think Vistiji did cover kemadruma yoga in one of his lectures. He mentioned that if there are no planets in 2 & 12 from moon, it only causes a partial kemadruma yoga. For a complete kemadruma yoga there should be no planet in 2,12,6,7,8 from moon & no planet other than moon in kendra.
The reason why the condition of kendra is mentioned is that kendra are the houses of effort, so any planet there would make the person work. However if there are no planets in kendra ( no effort) & no planets in 2,12,6,7.8 ( no desire )
the person would not have any motivation to work & he mentioned an example where he stated that such people will play video games at home rather than work!
All learned ppl plz correct me if I am wrong
regards
VV

Dear All,
Kendra from lagna (Both Jupiter ,Budhha) + ketu (i.e 4th house from lagna) ..i feel shows mana have strong desire as 4th house is of mana..hence 5th house mantra house.. , and kendra from moon (i.e 10th from moon debilated sun and exalted saturn).
If anybody have gone through Brighu samhita available and gone through it..it states any planet (mercury ,venus, jupiter ) ascending order in kendra removes evils.
Waiting for all learned’s comments..

Dear All,
I was going through some of the softwares of Jaimini charts..
Wha they call Karakamsha is ..atmakaraka in navamsha put that sign as lagna and put all planets of navamsha accordingly..
some other use atmakaraka in navamsha ..put that sign as lagna (i.e atmakaraka in virgo..put virgo as ascedent)..then put rasi chart planets in that.
now can some body enlighten..which is correct ? i feel sanjayi follow the former one (karakasha in navamsha)..
then what makes swamsha here?
waiting for enlightment..

Dear ‘Astroyogi’,
Namaskar,
I am not sure what your Q is but I will explain this simply,as I understand this.
AK seen in Navamsa = Karakamsa
Lagna sign in Navamsa = Lagnamsa
‘Swa’ means self, hence Swamsa could mean either of above and if both are same then it truly is Swamsa.
You can judge the attitude & motivation of the native towards dharma and inner self from Navamsa chart. Hence from Lagnamsa, you can judge the attitude of the native himself and from Karakamsa you can judge the attitude of his soul.
Hope this helps.

Sharat

Dear Sharat,
I think this is a really valid point. but if you see parashara light , jaimini light —
karakamsha will atmakaraka in navamsha sign as lagna..then all planets as per rashi chart..
principally i beleive atmakaraka in navamsha sign as lagna then all planets as per navamsa sign…
plz comment which should be correct ?

March 12th, 2007 at 11:56 am
Dear Guys, Namaskar
Kemadruma yoga:
Viresh has given the MOST ACCURATE answer. The tides of the Moon are seen along the moons axis (1st/7th) and the signs adjacent to this (2nd/12th and 6th/8th). Planets here cause DESIRE to earn money and involve oneself with money, and hence when there are no planets in these signs from the moon there is no desire.
In such cases the person can lead a really useless life unless they decide to take on a more spiritual path in life.
However, if planets are in kendra to lagna the person is COMPELLED to work for the sustenance of their family or other necessary needs. However the desire is not there and the person is very easily satisfied.
Amsas:
Let us first analyze the word Amsa. We know that Amsa relates to navamsa, but when the use of a word designating a bhava in the rasi chart is combined with this word its supposed to indicate a certain placement in navamsa.
I.e. If we use the word vyaya-amsa, it means the twelfth house of the rasi chart as seen in navamsa. Example: If my twelfth house is virgo in rasi chart, then any planet in virgo navamsa is called Vyaya-amsa.
This is the first meaning of the word Amsa.
So similarly the word Lagna-amsa is not the navamsa lagna but the rasi lagna in navamsa. Example: I have scorpio Lagna in rasi and in navamsa Mars and Jupiter are placed in Scorpio. So I have Mars and Jupiter in Lagna-amsa in my chart.
However, because Amsa can also mean specific placements in navamsa the Rishis had one term they could use almost arbitrarily to signify different things.
I.e. Parasara uses the word Karakamsa and Lagnamsa to denote the Atmakaraka in navamsa and the navamsa lagna.
Jointly Parasara calls these two svamsa.
Thus, whenever there is reference to ‘amsa’ it has to do with a placement in navamsa. The seasoned astrologer is then left to interpret the specific meaning of ‘amsa’ in the context of the text, i.e. if its a rasi-placement in navamsa it deals with the bhagya/end result of any events, whereas if its the independant navamsa placement it can show specific traits that the person has.
… To add to the headache ‘amsa’ can refer to ANY divisional chart other than the navamsa. But it still relates to the divisional charts and NOT to the Rasi.
Now, KN Rao claims that some astrologers in the eastern part of India claim karakamsa to be the navamsa-placement of the atmakaraka as seen in the RASI chart. Naturally KN Rao is a popular astrologer and this option has been allowed for in Parashara’s light.
Here we have a conflict because we are now referring to a amsa-placement as seen in the rasi chart. That goes against the meaning of the word ‘amsa’ as the reference point has now become rasi and not amsa.
The tradition clarifies that this is called ‘amsa-ka’. i.e. Lagnamsaka is the navamsa lagna as seen in the rasi chart.
So the tradition argues that term-wise karakamsa is atmakaraka as seen in the navamsa chart, whereas the same seen in rasi should be called karakamsa-ka.
Its just terminology, really the question is how to use it.
Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen.
March 12th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
Dear All,
Vistiji: thanks for really in depth input.
amsa is really good answer..i agree infact feel..as KN RAO’s viewpoint get influence..
well one more about KDY: so thats is antidote for evil..
planet in kendra from lagna , or kendra to moon (10th,7,4,1)
nullify eventually.

Vistiji,
I feel JHOra is better i mean more indepth than plight..
March 12th, 2007 at 7:14 pm
Dear Visti,
Kemadruma Yoga:
Thank you, very clear explanation. I would like to know what your opinion is in the case of empty 1st and 12th but occupied seventh, or in general,
if you consider smth like partial kemadruma Y- my impression is that it does exist- will give you an example, my son’s chart: Sun and Me/Ge/ are in 7th H from Sag. Moon. And Ju/infant avashta though/ is in 7th from lagna. he behaves like what I’d call “partial KY” and your description of KDY effects are apparent in his behaviour: lacking materialistic interests, excessive interest in books/reading, reduced interest in everyday comforts, like clothing /We, his father and myself have to push him or buy for him, push him to be interested in things other than books that money can buy, etc.. Wouldn’t you say that this looks like KDY? It’s so annoying to me /I have to force him to think/take money, things/ that I am unable to be impartial, so please tell me your opinion, I’d appreciate that.
Love,
Anna
March 12th, 2007 at 9:47 pm
Dear Anna, Namaskar
Of course its partial. See the 12th, 1st and 2nd is the PERSONAL motivation, whereas the 6th, 7th and 8th is the motivation to work with OTHERS or work compelled by OTHERS.
Yours sincerely, Visti.

Hello brothers,
It’s nice to see the discussion regarding Kemadruma yoga here. I have a question, what happens if ,
1> Moon is in it’s own sign/exaltaion sign and venus is in angular. say for example, For a makar lagna native if Moon is in VII(Cancer) and Venus is in X(Libra). Both of them are in their own signs. will there by any Kemadruma yoga?
2> Moon is in paap house or in its enemy rashi, aspected by a malific eg. For Simha lagna , moon in 6′th aspected by saturn from cancer rashi
Kindly comment learned brothers [:)]

Dear Krish,
Kemadrum yoga does cancel out if there is a graha in kendra from Lagna, like in the first example you quote. You 2nd Q is not clear.

June 17th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
Dear Guru Visti,
we call different days of the week by different names from Sunday to saturday with relation to a Graha. Like Surya’s day is Sunday and Guru’s day is thursday. My question is like today 17th June 2007 is Sunday. this day being Sunday not Monday has any astrological or astrnomical basis or some time in the past it was fixed arbitarily or told by some Rishi and we have been counting there after.
Pleass shed some light.
thanks

June 17th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
Dear Kamal, Namaskar
The first day of earths creation is supposed to be a Sunday, and from that day all the other days were set. If you read Surya Siddhanta or any other siddhanta you will see that this was fixed based on the first day of creation.
Yours, Visti

Dear all,
Perhaps a silly question, but is there a JHora form of Bhagawan Shri Ram’s Chart?
December 11th, 2007 at 7:54 am
Dear Visti,
Wrt Chandra Yoga:
In order to be jeevanmukta, what is the way to worship Maheshwara - e.g. worshipping the deity/jyotirlinga etc. corresponding to the planet indicative of Maheshwara, or what?
Also, can this be a substitute for worshipping Ishta devata (12th from AK in navamsa) who is also concerned with guiding us to the path of being jeevanmukta?
Or what would be the difference between the 2?
Many Thanx

Can a remedy similar to remedy for mks for Mo, be adopted (for Mo) to overcome Kemadruma yoga?

Dear Visti,
In some post, I read Vishnu-Gayatri suggested as a remedy for Curse of sadhu.
Doubts:
1. Is this a universal remedy for curse on Ketu or there are considerations such as in which sign the curse takes place or which malefics confer the curse.
2. Is there a modality, if the curse causing graha is atmakaraka (either Rahu who by default aspects Ketu or the other malefic graha such as Mars/Saturn).
3. Not able to relate, how Vishnu cures the curse on Ketu. What is the form of vishnu in gayatri form.
Your guidance is requested.
Vijay Kumar
