I am trying to reconcile two of your following statements. Here you have stated that “If there is pravrajya yoga in 3rd, 6th or 11th from Arudha lagna, then combust planets aren’t welcome”

However in the analyzing profession section http://www.srigaruda.com/front/2007/12/26/analyzing-professions/ your response to the Dec horoscope is that the native actually benefits from “pravrajya yoga caused by Venus in sixth from AL” because Venus is combust.

Please help me understand further.

We normally recite the two, viz: surya and aditya as one word. This is despite the mantra claiming to be 8 aksharas. I understand your confusion but stick to the parampara when in doubt. More on this later.

The Mana can follow the Moon or the Lagna. Since we are still using the Nakshatras to decide this we are still dealing with the mana in every way.

Thank you for such a clear explanation. Now i understand what you mean. I also checked the example chart of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. I do have mercury in vargottamma involved in the combustion (it also is vakra and involved in parivartana![dob 22.2.74, hosadurga, india, 16.30]).

I have a combination of sa and ke in 12th from Lg. It is also 10th from AL and this same house is also A10. What specific effect does shraddha yoga have when in 10th from AL which also is A10. I am doing the ghrini mantra from surya upanishad but i am confused since i see a few variants of the mantra. The upanishad clearly says “om 1 syllable, ghrini - 2 syllable, surya 2-syllable, aditya - 3 syllable” making it 8 syllables. But some variations i see are “om ghrini suryaadityaaya” and such like. could you please explain.

I remember going through one of the old Yahoo! group discussions wherein Sanjay Ji taught us that a combust planet in 4-planet yoga causes Raja Yoga. Unfortunately, we cannot access Yahoo! groups from India right now due to the undersea cable cut disaster, so I cannot search the groups and post the link here. But I do hope that my recollection is correct. If not, please correct me.

Guruji, I need your blessings and help - since I am passing through the most difficult phase of my life. While everything else is good, I am unable to determine which profession I should focus upon. Ever since I lost my job in April 2007 I am trying hard but in vain. I can be successful in training, teaching, counselling and consultation but despite efforts nothing seems to be taking shape.

What should I do ? When will the relief come ? I am praying Lord Ganesha and also doing Vishnu Gayatri. Any other remedial measure to be adopted ?

To be really honset I’m disliking and feeling uneasy in the job front, even more because of my co workers(not because of my laziness which used to be one of the reason during the Rahu mahadasha I guess). The Head who gave me the job has nothing to do in my field.So I’m having a really difficult rather confusing time.I end up crying(about not just my present career but along with everything that is or has been happening) home everyday, and have absolutely no one to console me. I hope you understand me.. I know I’m really troubling you everytime. I’m chanting Om Trivikramaya Namah when I’m free at home as for now, only a few times though.
I made a big mistake about my mother, I heard from her, that her Saturn is very strong but she is going through the sade sati, which is considered negative.She doesn’t have the courage to chant the mantra especially for sade sati.I also feel sorry for her..cause I know somewhere I like her actually.

Now let me understand your logic astrologically -

In D10 you see Ju 7th lord in rajayoga with Ve in 5th house of following and fame. Sun(12th lord) is exalted in 8th house of risks, investments and loans.Can Sun show investment in foriegn lands being 12th lord ?

Mercury is exalted in lagna , but also involved in Vipreet raja yoga with Mars and Sa transferring power to Lagna lord . How to deal with Moon Rahu debilitated with A7 in 3rd house ? Note that 3rd house in D10 has 40 Astakavarga points. How you came to now logical time for ju to get active - Due to their fructification age - i thought Me was activated when one is 31 years ?

meanwhile i found feb 15th is good muhurtha to start Kamalatmika Vidya- Its fri with Moon exalted in Lagna and Ve in 9th from it -No planets in 5th or 8th(Jup may be in 8th i need to check)..if i wait for lagna to change sunrise will happen

You can always use Vimshottari dasa, in fact Pt. Sanjay Raths grandfather used Vimshottari dasa for all his predictions and calculated the dasas to the precission of 6 levels. But he did use Narayana dasa, yet never wrote it down and instead calculated the whole thing mentally…
The reason I relied on Narayana dasa is because this dasa shows accurately the state of circumstances, whereas Vimshottari can tell me about his mental state and experiences which would arise from the circumstances he is placed in. So i always recommend learning both as Vimshottari dasa is limited to the Mana whilst Narayana dasa shows the gati of the atma… both are important.

Sun is the karaka for all peoples career change, as he is the employer who gives you the job. You have more jobs available when the Mahadasa you are running is having argala on the fourth from Sun in the dasamsa.
You start WANTING a job once the tenth house from Moon in D10 has argala or gets activated during dasas.
But the one who lands you up with a job is the fifth lord in Dasamsa. In the given case its Mars who is fifth lord and no planets are in the fifth. Mars is joined Mercury and Jupiter who can also give the job. No other planets seem able, and therefore you should wait for their antaradasas.

Give him some time. Right now he is travelling to Varanasi for a wedding, and has been having many short trips this year. A gentle reminder to him would be appropriate.

I didn’t say you wouldn’t be succesful, i just said that Taurus lagna in D10 didn’t promote medicine. Studies is also a separate issue all together and doesn’t always have a significant impact on ones career and profession. For studies worship Ganesha with the Ganesha Damana mantras and place a Narada-Ganesha mantra in your study.

I understand your confusion. From the arudha lagna ONE strong malefic in 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th or 10th can singlehandedly cause pravrajya yoga. This is horrible and takes away your bread. Similarly a strong benefic in 3rd or 6th can do the same. This is opposite if they are weak and cause vipareet (opposite) results. I.e. either vipareet raja yoga or vipareet rajbhanga yoga are the terms to be used.
Therefore the analysis of Rahus placement from Arudha lagna was important for me to see how the ‘weak’ enemies would affect you as Rahu is in the sixth house. Nodes debilitated in Kendra to Arudha lagna give enormous wealth, whilst when exalted will cause pravrajya yoga. So your Rahu is weakening the competition and is giving you plenty of wealth… its a good rahu as its weak giving Vipareet Raja yoga - i.e. was supposed to cause evil as its malefic, but ends up bringing good as its weak.

Now for the 4-planet pravrajya yoga. See that i have listed out that when benefics are in 3rd or 6th then it is pravrajya yoga whilst for malefics there its rajayoga.
A 4-planet pravrajya yoga is like having Saturn in that house, and based on our former hypothesis Saturn in 3rd/6th from AL is great. The exact prediction is that the native brings pravrajya yoga to their enemies.

Instead if the 4-planet yoga has combust planets then its like a vipareet-pravrajya yoga, and is like having strong benefics in the house. This gives renunciation to the native. This can give great spiritual renunciation is Venus and Mercury are involved.
One example is Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, the founder of Gaudiya Mutt (February 6th 1874, 1:40 pm, Puri India).

I hope this clarifies now.

Yes we saw that combust planet and i also stated that it was the cause of your current good progress in studies and also for how long this dasa is benefitting yout. I have explained this in detail earlier and given you a remedy. The last thing i can give you is solace. And that solace is that everything that will happen due to the pravrajya yoga will be your personal decission and be due to your personal conviction.

I got another oppurtunity to get into a startup. They are willing to give 2% equity partnership. Based on further sales i generate can grow to a partner with higher equity ownership.The company has two partners , one is my boss friend and he has vouched for him but another partner i feel doesnt want me around. My family however feels that i must continue to work and if i want to get to business i should do it totally on my own. I feel i may loose a good oppurtunity. How do you feel ? Is it again a case of false hope..the diff is this may make me move into business fm service slowly if i feel i can do it and not like make the switch overnight

Sorry for dragging this topic but i did not understand your reasoning. Let me gather all that has been discussed so far -

The 4 planets involved in pravrajya yoga in 8H are combust. they are 6th from AL. You said that this would give rajayoga to enemies. I also pointed out that i have debilitated Ra in 6H and hence enemies must be ‘weak’ in reality. You asked for its position from AL. It is 4th from AL.

In the light of the above, I cant make sense of what you say - “So Rahu is ultimately benefitting you as he is debilitated in the fourth from arudha lagna. That is good and Pravrajya is denied”.

Could you explain?

I was a student of psychology when I got admission in 2002(when I was 19) in India, but I failed and had to come back to Japan in 2004.I came back paranoid.My dream was to become a clinical psychologist or a counselor since 17 years old. I have a point which requires your kind attention

In the natal chart of a native I have been given to understand that Sun is Karaka for the career change.Is it so or are there any other plants which acts as SUN for the career change.In the book of Mr Chowdhary he has mentioned that there would be two significators for career change. Primary and Secondary. Is it true. Does a career change occur in an antar dasa also if the SUN is occpupying 10th House . In my case the SUN would be occupying the 10th house the house of career/profession in the month of April 1st 2008. The main dasa is Saturn with the antar dasa of Sun
