Dear Visti,
Thank you for this lecture.
Is a “kalam” the hour of the day ruled by a planet and found in the pachanga? If so, what is the difference between a kalam and the hora? I can’t find a definition or explanation anywhere.
Also, where is the list of Shanti Devatas and all the other devatas we are supposed to use?
Thanks, and blessings,
Julli

Dear Sir,
I understand from one of your earlier posts that venus placed badly-6th/8th/12th house or even 3rd(8th from 8th) or with malefics causes loss of spouse/partner.but how do we differentiate permanent separation–like divorce from premature demise of partner/spouse.there are a few personal tragedies in the family and hence very eager to know. Also
which one do we give more importance to–venus or jupiter or darakaraka?
many thanks,
Rupa.

Dear Members, Namaskar.
Julli
There are 16 kalams in a day and 24 horas. So they occupy differnet timespans each as well. I’m sure you can make out the difference.
However, know that there is a term such as Kala-Hora. This is Hora and is based on linear time instead of sunrise/sunset timings.
As for Shanti devatas, did i refer to this with respect to planets in inimical signs or something else?
Rupa
A very straight and telling method to see demise of spouse is that the second lord from Upapada is either 1) debilitated or 2) heavily afflicted by Saturn. In such cases disease and premature demise is possible.
Otherwise the weakness of the second lord from Upapada can give divorce. Use this then include the other factors.
Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen
