You’ve caught hold of the wrong end of the stick here. All mantras are meant to overcome the negatives of a graha, therefore Gayatri or any such mantra cannot be inauspicious for a person.
What you need clarifying is that when we recite a mantra we are not worshipping the graha directly but are asking to be free of the bondage of the graha. So Gayatri is fine even despite the Suns placement in your chart… who can say that Savitur is Surya anyway?

In one of his lectures, Sanjayji has mentioned worshipping devata represented by nakshatra (by degrees) in 4th rasi from surya - i was wondering what wud be the difference if the lord of such nakshatra or lord of the rasi (4th from Su) itself is considered for the required devata.

Does that dictum work in navamsa only (longevity) or can it be applied to Rasi chart too?

Fourth house from the Sun is Abhijeet Rasi. I’m sure i mentioned this position in the article.

Sun gives good health, and as written by Sanjayji in the Jaimini Sutras this can make one outlive the spouse if placed in the lagna in navamsa.

I could not find any mention of abhijeet rasi in the article, please can you advise on that.

Also, how/why does Su in 1st/7th house affect longevity of a native wrt spouse, because anycase Su influencing 1h (occupation / aspect) is likely to kakshya vriddhi to the native.

I read your article on retrograde planets in the posts as well as in the article published at your website. In the posts, it says retrograde benefic planets in kendras/trines become powerful. What will happen if the retrograde jupiter is in 5th house in Sagitarrius sign? Will it be benefic or malefic?

Additionally we also studied the Navamsa of the chart. The Navamsa seem to be powerful with most of the planets in their own houses or in parivartana (1st/ 7th - Moon and Venus.

Please comment on any correlative.

I am also a student of astrology. I would like you to comment on this chart relative of SUN the karaka for Father. The native of the chart had terrible relationship with the biological father although the father was very wealthy but was not only a miser but inflicted a lot of mental and sometime physical torture on the native. In the 20’s the native left homeland for a foreign country and during this time made friends with neighbors upon which the patriach of that house took the native under his wings and supported the native financially for education, business and general well being. This turn of events (almost 360degrees in person’s life is rather interesting). How do we interpret such a chart. Native both Dec 31, 1977 (7.30 GMT) with Taurus rising in RASI and Aries rising in Navamsa. I ran a chart using a software, Jupiter owned houses 8th and 11th had significant rupas, 10.28 and 10.02 respectively.

Namaste. Please let me know if this interpretation is correct. The fourth from Surya in my chart is Sag, and is empty, as is the fifth, Makara. Sani is in Pisces in 9th and Guru in 2nd in Simha with Sukra. Is the Dharma given by Surya to work hard and follow tradition, to achieve the Karma of learning or teaching Veda/Vedanga etc? If so, I am far from it :-).

I meant to say that marriage would have brought you luck in this pursuit.
Jupiter is not well placed in the sixth from Arudha lagna especially if in Satabhisaj nakshatra, as then the expenses are too high and the efforts are many times wasted and without much luck.
To overcome this i recommend that you take the name of Tara in your business or work in some manner.

I had accidentally used the wrong birth date for you. Now Jupiter is alone as the fifth lord from Sun. The area of work is still the same, but the expertize arising out of the lacking Gajakesari is now different. So you can still use the keywords of teaching, consulting, being an advisor, learning japa, sadhana, etc.

This can happen in a foreign country as Jupiter is Badhakesha and this can give great rajayoga due to Jupiters mutual aspect with Venus the fifth lord, and especially through marriage as Upapada is involved.

You need to study the basics of calculating Arudha lagna. Your arudha lagna is in the fourth house of Virgo.

This Yoga doesn’t necessarily make you a teacher, but does bring you into a situation where knowledge is shared. It is akin to the Dharmakarmadhipati yoga as both planets are karakas for the ninth and tenth houses. Also know that when yoga between the ninth and tenth lords exist, the karakas Mercury and Jupiter must be strong to give the full benefit of the same.
It is a yoga for spirituality, of which there are 4 types, viz.:
Venus associated with Ketu (meditation) or Mercury (mantra/japa). Here Venus shows those who follow the Asura guru and through their own personal efforts attain God.
Jupiter associated with Ketu (meditation) or Mercury (mantra/japa). Here Jupiter is the Sura Guru and gives a Guru to learn these things.
The Jupiter-Mercury yoga is thus quite important in ensuring that the tradition of teacher and student continues. Preferably this occurs in the human signs, viz.: Gemini, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius to grant sharing of knowledge, intellectual prowess and spiritual leaning. Even Pisces is excellent for this as it promises spiritual knowledge, yet less intellectual work, whereas the remaining signs lack this ability.
Further, if this is in odd signs the native is more selfish in this pursuit and seeks self-made fame, whilst in even signs the native is more dutiful in their pursuit and works for the benefit of society.

The placement from Lagna, Arudha Lagna and Karaka Lagna will show us whether this will be rajayoga or pravrajyayoga or in general how this will manifest.

as i read in the above pdf about the 5th from sun shows our dharma and as given in one of the examples especially in your own chart that the 5th from sun is pisces and its lord is involved in a guru-shishya yog of jupiter-mercury..its a request if you can give your insight on jupiter mercury yog and generally how it directs the natives life well placed from LAGNA AND AL..
i have noticed such a combination in lahiri mahasaya chart-the paramguru of paramhansa yogananda. does this yog when placed in chart does it indicates a teacher who imparts spirtual knowledge…

According to wikipedia as well as the Biographer of John D. Rockfeller Sr, John D. Rockefeller Sr was born on July 08/1839 in Richford/New York. According to your article it is stated as July 08/1838 which i believe is factually wrong. Hence the analysis provided for “Chart 8″ can be considered completely incorrect. Maybe recorrecting the analysis would be the most appropriate thing.

1. The fifth from Sun in your chart is Sagittarius, which is unoccupied and its lord is in the ninth house in a Gajakesari yoga and will grant deep knowledge and expertize in matters of sadhana, japa, higher education, consulting/advise, etc. As Moon is the amatyakaraka and joined tenth lord Jupiter, its surely going to be through your profession that this happens. However, with Jupiter and Moon in the sixth from Arudha lagna, it can show little material benefit from this.

2. Mercury in second from the Sun would make the act of writing a very inviting.

3. Strong benefics in the kendra/trikona are auspicious when retrograde. Remember to check their placement from arudha lagna.

Yes, absolutely I agree. In other words, the sign placement of Surya cannot be the final determinant. The dispositor has to be well placed from AL, participate in strong Raja Yoga, etc.

I have Sun in Leo in the 3rd house, with Venus, the 5th & 12th lord.
In my 9th house, I have Jupiter but retrograde aspecting Sun and Venus. I have Saturn in my Lagna aspecting the Sun.
My questions:
1) From this chart, what is my dharma?
2) You said 2nd from Sun tells us what we should give to the world. I have exalted Mercury with Mars in the second from Sun.
What does this mean?

3) Finally what does Retrograde Jupiter in 9th indicate. In your article, it was not clear whether it is good for benefics to be retrograde in a house which is not its debilation sign.

As you advised chanting of mantra “om sukaraaya namah”
in the discussion “rituals and puja to be done by pregnant woman:discussion”

I am understanding like this:

“SANATAN GOPAL MANTRA” is a remedy mantra for pregnancy and
“om sukaraaya namah” is a general mantra for well being of pregnancy.

So “SANATAN GOPAL MANTRA” must only be chanted will problem with AS3 or AS9 is indicated.
