      Dear Vistiji,
      Namaste.
      I have Three clarifications as detailed below.
      (1).If a Birth happens on a tithi of 8th&Amavasya, lorded by Rahu,
      What VAARA is to be considered? And what will be Tattwa Conflicts?.
      (2).If a Birth happens on a tithi,whose lord is not a lord of day,What results will be Expected?

      (3).Which Vaara RAHU represents?.

      Dear Visti,

      Very well written as always :-)

      Just 2 doubts:

      1. In the “example of calculations” (pg3 and 4):

      you have given the calc of span of night as:
      “5hr 28m 27s – 18hr 29m 27s = 10hr 59m 53s”

      should it not read:
      5hr 28m 27s – 18hr 29m 27s = 13hr 01m 00s

      or am i mistaken?

      2. What is Antar Tattva? -
      (couldnt find any mention of that in the article).

      Many Thanx
      SS

    3. Soul Sadhak Says:

      oops! i made the mistake with the calulations! Sorry.

    4. Soul Sadhak Says:

      Dear Visti,
      What Sunsrise and Sunset times have you used for example 2?

      I get the follwoing with JHora (7.2):

      DOB = Wednesday

      Sunrise (on day of birth): 6:16:42
      sunset (on previous day): 18:20:15

      Span of night = 11:56:27
      Span of Tattva = 11:56:27/120 = 05m, 58s
      Progressed Time till birth= 11:47:45
      Tattva = 11:47:58/00:05:58
      = 118.54 ~ 119th
      (u have indicated 120th)

      1. Please can u point where i am going wrong?

      2. Does the tattva cycle begin at sunrise?

      If yes, then, if the tattva (as calculated in above example) is 120th (or even for 119th), would u take that of Tues (the prev day) = if yes, then it makes Agni, taking the cycle as “Agni-3, Vayu-4, Akasha-5, Pritvi-1; Prithvi-1, Akasha-5, Vayu-4, Agni-3″

      Many Thanx,
      SS

    5. Soul Sadhak Says:

      sorry again, i took the day as Wednesday, instead of Friday! Still, it shd make Akasha tattva - either for 119th or for 120th of the prev day (thurs).

    6. Soul Sadhak Says:

      or the only way to get Prithvi (considering 120th tattva) is to look at Wednesday (Prithvi) as preceeding Friday (& Monday ~ Jala); by following order of days only as function of the order of tattvas, like:

      Wed (Prithvi) -> Mon+Fri (Jala) -> Tues+Sun (Agni) -> Sat (Vayu) -> Thurs (Akasha)

      Hope u’d find some ti e to clarify.

      thanx

      Dear Members, Namaskar

      E.Krishna Prasad
      1. The tattva conflict can occur between conjoining planets, i.e. if its amavasya on a friday then the junction of Rahu and Venus is a tattva-conflict yoga.

      2 & 3. Rahu does not lord any Vara, therefore he cannot initiate the day. He can follow soon after though.

      Back when i did the calculation Jhora used different sunrise/sunset times. Know that i normally use the upper limb of sunrise for these calculations.

      Yours sincerely, Visti Larsen
