   Namasthe Visti,

   On my umpteenth visit to your website and after reading through the various articles I have a doubt lingering in my mind about Arudhas.

   For the creation of wealth any planet in the 11th from AL contributes to wealth creation. If that planet also rules over certain Arudhas, would they be promoted too for generating wealth.

   I want to take my example. I work in the Investment Banking industry. But in my 7th House from Lagna (and also Hora Lagna) I have A3. My 7th Lord (and also A3 lord) Moon is in Aquarius along with Rahu in the 2nd house from my Capricorn lagna and in the 11 from my Arudha Lagna which is Aries.

   Also I have A5 and A11 in Aqaurius. Do all these Arudhas promote to create wealth. Can I start looking towards A5,A11 and A3 related areas for creating wealth which I presume it as Stock Markets (A5), Business Partnerships (A11) and Gains from writing (A3)? I am currently running Saturn dasa (Vimshottari dasa) and also Narayana dasa and Sudasa of Capricorn.

   If you think I am in the right direction I can probably help my friends also to look for income where there is a possibility of a planet favoring or Arudha favoring in wealth creation.

   Namaste Vistiji,

   I always wondered why my Rahu dasa from 1984 - 2002 did not bring any wealth though it is in its own house Aquarius and 11th from AL. My lagna is Capricorn and its lord Saturn who is also the 2nd lord debilitated in AL my 4th house in Raasi, but gets full neechabhanga as it is exalted in Navamsha in 10th. Don’t you think my Rahu MD should have brought some wealth ? Also, my A10 and A6 are in 11th from AL along with Rahu. Does this indicate that I can make wealth thru job and service?

   One more question, 9th from AL is that which supports your AL, what if 9th from AL has no planets and has no arudhas in it? My 9th house is Dhanus and is in 12th house from Lagna?

   Please clarify the above points.

   Planets in the 11th from AL shows you will be seeking money, but how much of it you get isn’t indicated from here. Confirm from the Kashinatha Hora.
   Lord of the ninth from AL also supports.

   In your response to Prema regarding 11th AL, you said planets in that position show that the individual seeks money. I assume you are talking about the desire for money. But, from what I read in many posts on SJC, planets in the 11th from AL show sources of income. So, among these two which explanation is more appropriate?

   I understand 11th from Lagna shows our hopes, desires & dreams and 11th from AL shows what we really get. Any planet in 11th from AL becomes the source of wealth for AL. This was not in my case. Most of my Rahu dasa, I was struggling for job in India and though I got a job,it was low paid. My 11th from AL looks strong as it has its lord in own house and co-lord Saturn gets neechabhanga. Also, Jupiter aspects my 11th from AL. Then why was it not good ?

   Please clarify.

   I will give my basic understanding of why Rahu might not have given what you were expecting. I may be completely wrong in my understanding too, I will hope Visti can correct if my thinking is flawed.

   First and foremost point here is, the planets are in the 11th from AL are the source of income. But for us to derive the benefit out of the source we have to utilize the source available.

   Since Rahu is the source here, you might have been even better off trying for a foreign job than a job in India. Looking at the period that this whole dasa ran for you, it might have been still running while you just walked out of college. Effectively it was running between the ages of 14 to 32. Of which I presume only the second half say from 21 to 32 is the age for earning.

   I am around the same age as you. I can understand the job scenario etc in India around that time. So if you were to try to move to a foreign country things would have been a lot better. But again hindisght is always 20-20.

   Also Lakshmi’s blessings are seen from Sudasa whereas effort for making money would be seen from Narayana Dasa (D-2) chart. Looking at your chart from that point, you would have put in greater effort in that direction during Virgo Narayana Dasa which ran from 1998 to 2003 because it has HL also there. Some of it might have yielded results. From what I understood from my learning is, your effort might be there, but without the blessing (Sudasa) coinciding, sometimes the efforts may not fructify completely.

    Thank you for the your analysis. May be you are right, if I were to try for job in a foreign country, it may have been different. You are also right about my putting more effort and receiving gains from 1998-2003. This is time I moved to a foreign country and had some gains. Per JHora, I was running Aq and Cp (from year 2000) narayana dasas during 1998-2003. However, this time was extremely intense and filled with grief, pain, sadness and tremendous worry.

    Can HL be treated as normal lagna in identifying Marakas etc. For example my HL is in Capricorn and Moon is the 7th lord in 2nd house so it qualifies to be a full fledged maraka for finance.

    Coincidentally I ran Sudasa of Cancer between 1995 and 2000 september of which only the period from 1998 september onwards was good in terms of finance i.e.I got a stable job from then onwards.May be because it was Cancer Mahadasa but Capricorn Antardasa during the time i.e. Sept 1998.

    Which finger should i wear it on, middle or ring finger?
    It is to improve my shukra’s strength since i am running
    Shukra Mahadasa, Shukra is in the 9th in my Birthchart, i was
    told that its effect is being curbed by transit of Shani and
    Jupiter’s transit to my moon is also less favourable..

    This is about predicting if it is possible selling a business. DOB- Dec-31-77 (16.07) KL. Can this be a good time to sell the internet education/ parenting business?

    Following some of your comments int he Audarya website - I noted that the 7th lord in dasamsa ie here Venus is exalted in the 12th (pisces) is necessary which is the case here but Venus is placed 8th from Mahadasha Mars which is in Leo. Current Vit-Dasa is Mars-Venus.

    Does this allow for sale of the business?

    Namaste dear Sai ji,
    I observe that you are a sharp mind with keen interest in astrology. Would you kindly help me in understanding the possible sources of income for myself. What do Moon and Saturn which are eleventh from Arudha lagna indicate ? I have been asscoiated with pharmaceuticals almost for 25 years. I have set up a logistics business in pharma which is giving me small income. In May 2007 the main source of income was lost and eversince I am trying various fields but in vain. I tried consultation,training and teaching but it has not worked out well. The pharma logistics business is giving small returns and so trying to expand that too. Have made investments in real estate but have not yet encashed the gains - When will I be booking profits ? Could you tell which field should I be concentrating ? Will partnership help ? Is investing in equity adviced ?
    The details are : DOB - 14th Aug 1959 ; Time - 1330 hrs; Place - Bhopal (MP)- 23 16 N & 77 23 E

    Namaskaram.
    Had one query related to my horoscope.(02-Jul-1974, Bellary Karnataka India, 19:20 hrs)
    In my rasi I have the Sagi ascendant with Jup in a strong placement in Acquarius (Per one of Pandit Rathji’s lectures this is equivalent to placement in Cancer). Jup thereby is in the 11th from AL and has the graha drishti on the 7th house having the strong yoga of Sun (9th lord)-Me (Retro-7&10th lord) with Sa (2nd lord). This combination is in the 3rd from AL thereby making it much more stronger.
    You have suggested earlier that I can do business in consulting related to finances looking at the 7th house and Ju in 11th from AL. Many others have suggested that I should do this abroad namely US. This is because Pandit Rathji had pointed in one of his lectures that Aries is usually related to Britain and Gemini to US.
    So based on this Should I plan to settle down in US and start my own consulting business there?
    Will really appreciate your guidance in clarifying my request.
